So, I’ve thought long and hard about my favorite album of 2011. I went through loads of different albums I listened to last year, some of my favorite are:
-Evanscence by Evanescence
-Mission Bell by Amos Lee
-Wasting Light by Foo Fighters
-This Is Gonna Hurt by Sixx:A.M
-4 by Beyonce
But Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars has definitely been my favorite album of the year, even though I heard it back in February, I still go back to it at least once a week, if not daily. Everybody should hear this album at least once in their life!

Last night I had the best NYE!
Me, two of my closest friends and my friends sister went to a club in town, the club was empty except for us four.
We played drinking games and ugly danced all night, and it was simple, there was nobody there judging, no girls wearing bits of material and calling it a dress, and no chino wankers.
The music was the kind you only like when you’re drunk (and secretly love but would never admit)
We counted down and toasted the New Year with the one bouncer and the one bar man with flat Cava out of plastic cups, and I was genuinely happy, probably the happiest I’ve been all year. I didn’t even realise that i could be that happy with nothing, it was like I’d spent all of 2011 not feeling. It’s surprising how most of us don’t realise that we’re not actually feeling anything most of the time, like we genuinely are comfortably numb.
Last night I resolved to feel as much as possible in twenny twelve. And I did it while rapping every line of Superbase with a very elaborate dance routine.
